BRYAN PHILLIPS - NTR FOUNDER

Bryan Phillips was born and raised on the North Shore of Oahu. Having the ocean and landscape of the North Shore as his backyard since birth, Bryan has unparalleled knowledge of every type of condition offered.

Bryan served as a prominent North Shore lifeguard for nearly 20 years and Phillips' commitment to both the physical and educational aspects of lifeguarding has made him a key figure in the safety on the North Shore's famous beaches. During his lifeguarding career he operated the jet ski saving lives in some of the most dangerous waters and was a vital asset in many of the most notable rescues on the North Shore.

In 2011, Bryan began training special operators and played a key role in developing an intensive curriculum for jet ski/MRV surf zone training. Since then, he has continuously refined, diversified, and taken all of his knowledge to create a curriculum specialized for NTR. His goal is to pass on his expertise to those who are called upon to navigate and manage the most perilous conditions.
